Choose Your Root Type
Our Silver Birch (Betula pendula) trees are available in two root formats, so you can choose the option that best suits your planting season, project and budget.
Bare Root Silver Birch
Available seasonally, typically from November to March, bare root Silver Birch trees are field-grown and lifted during dormancy with their roots exposed and soil-free.
They offer a cost-effective option for larger planting schemes, woodland planting and projects where several trees are required.
Rootball Silver Birch
Rootball Silver Birch trees are supplied with a firm ball of soil retained around the roots and wrapped in hessian for protection during lifting and transport.
This format is particularly suitable for larger, more established trees and landscaping projects where greater immediate impact is required.
Available Sizes & Girth
Our Silver Birch trees are graded by girth (trunk circumference), a standard method used for established landscape trees. Girth provides a useful indication of the maturity and structure of the tree, helping you choose the right size for your garden or landscaping project.
