Choose Your Root Type
Our Willow (Salix) trees are available in two root formats, so you can choose the option that best suits your planting season, project and budget.
Bare Root Willow Trees
Available seasonally, typically from November to March, bare root Willow trees are field-grown and lifted during dormancy with their roots exposed and soil-free.
They offer a cost-effective choice for woodland planting, wet ground, larger landscaping schemes and projects where several trees are required.
Rootball Willow Trees
Rootball Willow trees are supplied with a firm ball of soil retained around the roots and wrapped in hessian for protection during lifting and transport.
This format is particularly suitable for larger, more established trees and landscaping projects where greater immediate impact is required.
Available Sizes & Girth
Our Willow trees are graded by girth (trunk circumference), a standard method used for established landscape trees. Girth provides a useful indication of the maturity and structure of the tree, helping you choose the right size for your planting project.
